Muhaibes
Iraq’s Ramadan-night game: one team hides a ring in one player’s hand, and the other team tries to find it. Here the computer hides the ring and moves it between the hands, and you follow it and find it.
How to play
- At the start of each round, the ring is shown in one of 6 hands.
- Then the hands close and swap places: follow the ring with your eyes.
- Choose “Ring is here” on the hand you think holds it, or open empty hands one by one with “Empty”.
- If you open the ring hand with “Empty”, or pick a wrong hand, you lose the round.
- The more hands still closed when you find it, the more points you get. There are 5 rounds, each faster than the last.
Muhaibes is one of Iraq’s best-loved Ramadan games, bringing neighbourhoods together after iftar; traditionally the losing team pays for the sweets.
